Expat exploits in Qatar

Robert De Niro

Yesterday was the first night of Doha’s annual Tribeca Film Festival. The red carpet opening of the festival was followed by a screening of The Reluctant Fundamentalist.

Tonight was ‘an audience with Robert De Niro’ at the Al Rayyan Theatre. For 50QR or £8, we got front row seats sitting no more than 5 metres from the actor.

De Niro interviewed

He was interviewed for about an hour. It was exciting to be so close to the film legend. I managed to get a few good pictures.

  1. What do you mean more exciting???
There is all sorts of fun to be had in Hampshire. For example there is………

  2. You’re always out and about these days. Bet Robert de Nero was fascinating.
I’m off on Thurs to listen to Kate Mosse at Gosport library promoting her latest book “Citadel”. Went for a wander on Sunday at the Weald and Downland museum with Christmas fair; unfortunately it was a victim of the beautiful sunny weather which had brought the hordes out.
